Universal Studios Hollywood has, at last, opened the updated new Jurassic World ride to the public.
Formed on the basis of the film franchise, the new ride, ‘Jurassic World- The Ride’ is explained to be more ‘immersive’ than the previous one, ‘Jurassic Park: The Ride’. The predecessor was shut down posterior 22 years in operation in September 2018.
Once on board the raft, the visitors of the theme park will be taken through a maze of dense vegetation whose theme is based on the jungle. The passengers will keep facing the dinosaurs from the movies throughout their rides.
In Universal’s opinion, the visitors are taken through the gentler dinos, like the Parasaurolophus and Stegosaurus, ahead of being hunted down by more violent ones, such as Dilophosaurus and Velociraptors. It seems that the guests are switched from spectators to prey.
The only method to escape from the dinosaurs is to drop down from a huge 84 feet waterfall towards the end of the ride.
The ride was already open for technical practices earlier this month. However, it has now been opened to fans officially.
And, apparently, the first few reviews portray that new ride has most probably lived up to the public’s hype.
While a fan said that the ride of the Jurassic World was lit, another claimed that the ride was amazing.
The previous Jurassic Park themed ride at the Universal Studios Hollywood opened in the year 1996, after the success of the first movie in 1993. It used to have animatronic dinosaurs and a soundtrack by the film composer John Williams. However, it required an upgrade.
When the park declared its shutting down the previous year, hardcore fans waited about 3 hours to experience the ride one last time.
The original ride is still open at the Universal Studios in Osaka and Orlando.
