Justin Bieber has recently revealed how he struggled after rising to fame at a young age.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the singer has opened up about how he became the ‘most hated person in the world’ and had to resort to ‘heavy drugs.’
Justin was just 13 when talent manager Scooter Braun spotted one of his YouTube videos. Before long, the young boy had become a pop star with millions of teenage fans across the globe.
But this newfound fame wasn’t easy as Justin made headlines for all the wrong reasons and had to face trouble with law enforcement a number of times.
Now, the superstar has revealed all his struggles on social media, including how his marriage to Hailey Baldwin sorted out things for him, helping him get on track again.
“It’s hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life, your past, job, responsibilities, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships,” he wrote.
“When it feels like there’s trouble after trouble after trouble. You start foreseeing the day through lenses of ‘dread’ and anticipate another bad day.”
He continued, saying how he entered a ‘cycle of disappointment,’ and how ‘sometimes it can even get to the point where you don’t even want to live anymore.’
Justin added that he was lucky ‘to have people in life that encourage me to keep going.’
Speaking about his rise to fame, the singer said: “As my talent progressed and I became ultra successful, it happened within a strand of two years.
“My whole world flipped on its head. I went from a 13-year-old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world, with millions saying [how] much they loved me and how great I was.”
Due to his young age, Justin wasn’t humble about his achievements.
When Justin turned 20 years of age, he had by then ‘made every bad decision you could have thought of.’
The megastar said he ‘went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world, to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world.’
He added: “I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry.
“I became distant to everyone who loved me, and I was hiding behind, a shell of a person that I had become. I felt like I could never turn it around.
“It’s taken me years to bounce back from all these terrible decisions, fix broken relationships, and change relationship habits. Luckily god blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me.”
