It’s always an absolutely terrifying experience when you lose your dog.
Whether it be that they just escaped out of the yard or they get lost in a forest, it’s always a very tense moment.
Still though some dogs have a real knack for finding their owners again. They will go through absolute hell to find their owners once again. It’s truly inspiring but as a dog owner I never hope my dog has to go through it!

Meet Kali, a beautiful 7-year-old Golden Retriever who managed against all odds to reunite with her owners. When Kali and her family, the Karekens were on vacation at the Quetico Provincial park in Canada, Kali was dragged away in rapids. Her family desperately searched for Kali for hours, but sadly found no signs of her. Heartbroken, David Kareken and his family were forced to leave Ontario without Kali.
David Kareken told the CBC about leaving his poor dog and best friend behind:
We were…. just beside ourselves. You know, it was a nightmare
A tragic story, but one with an amazing ending.
Two weeks after the vacation turned dog owner’s worst nightmare, David and his family received a call from Ontario.It was the park officials! Kali had been found by a group of campers at the campsite.
She was looking for her beloved owners when the park rangers picked her up as they tried to find her owners. Absolutely determined, David drove over 20 hours straight from North Carolina back to Canada so he could get his beloved pet back.Seeing the two of them reunited is absolutely incredible! Kali is all smiles when she sees David again.

When we finally got the news, I just, I fell to my knees because I couldn’t believe it — you know, she was alive, and healthy and okay
