It’s always an absolutely terrifying experience when you lose your dog.
Whether it be that they just escaped out of the yard or they get lost in a forest, it’s always a very tense moment.
Still though some dogs have a real knack for finding their owners again. They will go through absolute hell to find their owners once again. It’s truly inspiring but as a dog owner I never hope my dog has to go through it!

Meet Kali, a beautiful 7-year-old Golden Retriever who managed against all odds to reunite with her owners. When Kali and her family, the Karekens were on vacation at the Quetico Provincial park in Canada, Kali was dragged away in rapids. Her family desperately searched for Kali for hours, but sadly found no signs of her. Heartbroken, David Kareken and his family were forced to leave Ontario without Kali.
David Kareken told the CBC about leaving his poor dog and best friend behind:

David told the CBC what it was like to hear the news that his dog was still alive
When we finally got the news, I just, I fell to my knees because I couldn’t believe it — you know, she was alive, and healthy and okay
