Kanye West Calls Social Movement “A SCAM” While Wearing Controversial Shirt

The Black Lives Matter campaign was deemed a “scam” by Kanye West, who wore a White Lives Matter shirt to his unexpected Yeezy design show.

On Tuesday morning, he said on his Instagram Story, “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a fraud now it’s over you’re welcome.”

The statement was made after the fashion designer donned the controversial shirt with the pope’s face on the front to Monday’s Paris Fashion Week show, where she was joined by the equally divisive political analyst Candace Owens.

When fans and celebrities saw that several of the models in his show were wearing identical T-shirts reading “White Lives Matter,” they took to social media to express their outrage. When Jaden Smith, then age 19, saw the messages, he left the 45-year-old West’s show early.

The person who tweeted, “Sending a “WHITE LIVES MATTER” t-shirt down a runway in Paris is literal craziness and no amount of gospel is getting that man through Heaven’s gate, I’m so sorry,” was referring to the man who sent the shirt down the runway.

As one commenter put it, “mind you Kanye was just calling Kim [Kardashian] and kris [Jenner] the KKK 2 weeks ago and now he’s wearing a white lives matter tee.”

Although he has not commented on the wardrobe choice itself, West did remind the audience at his concert that he is not a puppeteer.

At one point, he even referred to his new given name, saying, “I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader.” You have no control over me.

However, while he wasn’t causing trouble and offending people with his Season 9 line, he surprised everyone with a positive twist: he let his daughter North West perform a song.

The eldest kid of Kanye West and Khloé Kardashian performed in the center of the rotunda, belting out motivational songs to the sounds of The Fugees and Macklemore.
