Katy Perry who is pregnant with her first child with her fiance Orlando Bloom got candid about embracing motherhood.
She revealed she doesn’t mind to wait a little longer to give birth to her baby.
The 35-year-old singer spoke with Extra via Zoom video call and said she was “doing very well, all things considered,” amid the pandemic. “There’s a lot to think of … I’m grateful that I’m not giving birth tomorrow. It’s a one-day-at-a-time situation, always being open to the unknown and exploring options.”
She also revealed that she gets exasperated while staying at home but her bond with her family has become stronger than before during quarantine period.
Katy continued: “Even though I can get highly annoyed by being quarantined with my family in close quarters — I’m used to jet-setting around and being really busy — now I feel we’ve laid a new foundation within our family, [that] there’s a bond that’s even stronger.”
“We have some horrible days where I want to cry, but I believe when we look back at this, for myself, it will be this beautiful bond that we created.”
Katy first revealed about her pregnancy to fans in March and recently shared the gender of her baby as she shared a photo of her fiancé covered in pink cream and captioned it, ? It’s a girl ?.”
A source told PEOPLE the couple are excited to become parents of a baby girl saying, “They love that they have this amazing, positive thing to focus on right now. It’s such a happy distraction for them.”
“Along with so many other people, they stay home. They both try to exercise and eat well so they can stay healthy. Katy really hopes everything has calmed down with the virus by the time the baby will be born this summer.”
