Couple Kelly Dodd and her husband Rick Leventhal have been branded as highly insensitive after the duo opted to mock Alec Baldwin on Halloween with an offensive costume that represented him.
While Kelly opted to stay true to her roots, dressing up as a Native American, it was her husband who sparked a major backlash over his careless attire.
Rick opted for a unique twist on Halloween this year, with full plans to offend actor Alec Baldwin and his recent tragic shooting incident that took place on set during filming.
Rick explained to his followers and critics how he never intended on offending anyone but Alec Baldwin himself. But he certainly didn’t stop there. The former correspondent from Fox News argued about how strongly he felt that Baldwin deserved all the heat that he was getting.
In addition, he even went about referring to the star actor as a jerk!
The couple posted images of their insensitive attire with great pride. Rick added a caption that spoke about how his wife did a great job at celebrating her Native American culture and he was similarly doing a wonderful job at celebrating the great American actor, Alec Baldwin.
While many of Rick’s followers may be accustomed to his jokes, the majority of his fans and followers felt that the ex-news anchor went one step too far with his highly insensitive act.
Some of the heartbreaking comments came from one viewer who told Rick to behave responsibly as there was a child who lost his mother in the tragedy.
In the same way, another spoke about how a young boy buried his mother that same day and that the costume was definitely poor in taste.
