An act of compassion melts all of our hearts, and a school resource officer did the same and is winning people’s heart all over the internet.
A California based school which is located in Santa Rosa has a special need student and what Chris Morrison did for her is absolutely amazing.
She used to be a teacher herself and has always had a knack for children. Even Jessica Romero who is an assistant principal of the school said that Chris is indeed a very special human being.
The entire incident was caught on camera by the 2014’s Teacher of the Year winner Meghan King.
As you will watch the clip, you will see that Meghan is explaining how the special needs student is having troubles making a transition on her way outside from the hallway.
Kermit the Frog, in the form of a stuffed animal is present in the hands of the student. This particular character is a quite popular one and has made many appearances on both the movies and various television shows. Rainbow Connection is one song which is associated the most with this character.
Officer Chris Morrison did notice that the anxious kid was holding Kermit the Frog and very soon an idea popped into her mind that maybe singing a song will help the student in keeping calm.
The officer did the obvious and began to sing the ever famous Rainbow Connection. The YouTube video has gone viral, and people can’t stop dropping tears after watching the gesture of the kind officer.
Jeneane Kucker, who is the Santa Rose Police Sergeant, stated that Morrison’s gesture is not a surprise because she is known for doing such kind of generous acts in the past.
