Don’t be sad if you can’t go to see the vibrant colors of spring in the Netherlands as the colors can now come to visit you in your home.
Coronavirus has practically crippled the whole world especially traveling.
Cities all over the world are urging residents to stay indoors and public places are being shut down to help stall the spread of the deadly pandemic that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives across the globe.
Sadly, the curfew situation is also applicable to the Keukenhof Flower Exhibit which is on its full bloom right now in the small town of Lisse in the Netherlands.
Lonely Planet has reported that the exhibit is not going to let all that natural bloom of colors go to waste.
Gardeners and support staff of the event are working day and night to take care of the blooming flowers even though there are literally no visitors.
To enable flower lovers to enjoy the bloom of Keukenhof Flower Exhibit, the organizers have decided to take the whole thing online for everyone.
Keukenhof, having more than 800 categories of hyacinths, tulips, daffodils, and crocuses, is the biggest bulb-flower garden on the planet.
According to the report of Lonely Planet, the garden sees more than seven million individual blooming flowers every year. Almost everyone visiting the Netherlands from March to May goes to the garden to witness the colors of nature.
Lonely Planet reported that the Keukenhof has started a video series by the name “Keukenhof Virtually Open.”
The videos consist of gardeners taking viewers on a virtual tour of their favorite places in the park and showing exuberant flowers at their full bloom.
They also provide interesting information about each species of the flowers as the virtual tour proceeds.
“In the months leading up to spring, a lot of hard work has gone into providing visitors with a beautiful experience. The park is already blooming beautifully and will become even more beautiful in the coming weeks,” the official Keukenhof website says.
“Keukenhof likes to show this to people under the slogan ‘If people cannot come to Keukenhof, we will bring Keukenhof to the people’.”
If you want to see the garden, you can do that on Keukenhof’s official website or on their YouTube channel.
