KFC franchise in Atlanta was rounded up with countless customers in an exclusive taster held to introduce people to a new plant-based meal.
The new chicken wings and nuggets were prepared by faux chicken meat, and no animal was killed to provide food for human consumption.
In collaboration with Beyond Meat, a plant-based meat substitute company, KFC franchise near SunTrust Park in Atlanta served its meatless chicken for the first time.

The fast-food chain said in a statement: “Beyond Fried Chicken is available in nuggets with choice of favorite dipping sauce, like KFC’s signature Finger Lickin’ Good sauce, or boneless wings tossed in one of three delicious sauce options: Nashville Hot, Buffalo or Honey BBQ.”
The public response was delightful for the food chain as numerous food lovers braved the endless lines of pedestrians and cars around the restaurant while waiting for their turn.
Many people also shared the stories of their several-hours wait on social media.
Surprisingly for the franchise, the meatless chicken products were sold in less than five hours.
Following the massive turnover, the food chain announced that the amount of plant-based chicken products sold on that day was almost equivalent to their entire week’s sale of the actual popcorn chicken.
Ethan Brown, the co-founder of Beyond Meat, said: “KFC is an iconic part of American culture and a brand that I, like so many consumers, grew up with.
“To be able to bring Beyond Fried Chicken, in all of its KFC-inspired deliciousness to market, speaks to our collective ability to meet the consumer where they are and accompany them on their journey.”
The initiative was welcomed by countless vegans and diet-conscious people.
If adopted, the initiative will help cut short the number of chickens which are kept in extremely unhealthy conditions in factory farms for their lifetimes.

The chickens at such farms are artificially bred to develop quickly. Such treatment is not only inhumane for the chickens but is also harmful to the humans who consume them.
Chicken farming is a major cause of the spreading of diseases like bird flu in general public.
As billions of chickens are killed in order to produce food for the higher animals, animal well-being workers are supporting the agenda to introduce plant-based meat instead of the usual one.
Even though the initiative was a huge success, the food chain will wait for customers’ feedback before replicating it in other branches.
