When thinking about popping the question to your partner, it can be hard to decide where to do it.
You could return to the place where you had your first date, take them on a romantic holiday, or prepare a room full of rose petals and balloons.
One man decided to propose to the love of his life in their local KFC – and she said her sweet yes!
The heartwarming moment was caught on camera and shared on KFC South Africa’s official page on Twitter.
KFC SA tweeted: “Please help us find this beautiful couple . DM us any leads, there might be a Finger Lickin’ Good surprise in it for you too. We love love.”
Internet then worked on its magic, with KFC promising to give the couple a celebration to remember!
The fast-food giant also thanked customers for their amazing help, writing: “South Africa, you guys are amazing! We’ve found the beautiful couple, and looks like we’re having a #StreetwiseWedding y’all. We’re meeting Bhut’ Hector and his lovely bride Nonhlanhla we’ll keep you posted. #KFCProposal.”

Popular singer-songwriter Zakes Bantwini tweeted: “I want to offer my performance at the wedding for free… I love love.”
South Africa’s official Audi account also tweeted: “These honeymoon destinations look far. Someone needs to drive them there. We got you.”
A South African airline also wrote: “Hey mzansi’s favourite couple! Your honeymoon is on us! #kululaholidays are giving you a holiday in Cape Town, incl flights and 5 nights accommodation.”
A nail artist also offered to give Nonhlanhla a makeover, tweeting: “Where are they from? Glam nails by lebo in polokwane would like to pimp the bride with manicure and Pedicure for free tell the bride to whatsapp me.”
Another company also said that they will provide the jewelry: “We’d love to send you a necklace, bracelet and pair of Forever New earrings to wear on your big day – @kfcsa let’s make this happen! #KFCProposal.”

McDonald’s also offered to pay for the couple to go on a trip, writing: “We just could not resist all this Lovin’. We would love to take Mzansi’s fave couple on an all-expenses paid trip to Cape Town for an unforgettable VIP experience at Toni Braxton’s #AsLongAsILive Tour. Thank you for celebrating love. It was a passerby Kateka Malobola, a passer-by, who filmed the proposal and shared it online. “I took the video and sent it to a group that I’ve got on my WhatsApp to say ‘check this out!’ and I put it on Facebook and put it on Instagram, and then boom!” he said.
In a statement to SowetanLIVE.E, the couple thanked everyone for their heartwarming wishes and gifts.
