Being a celebrity is difficult.
Being a celebrity who wants to be a mother and go through the pain of complications is an even more difficult thing — and something that Khloe Kardashian is currently going through.
Khloe Kardashian, sister of Kim Kardashian, comments on her condition of pregnancy during a new teaser for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The mother-of-one and partner Tristan Thompson plan to have a second child.
Kim Kardashian delivers advice to her sister, Khloe, about other ways to have children due to her own experience having surrogates since she understands the complications of pregnancy.
Her three-year-old, True, was almost lost due to these complications but she comments that she did not realize that it would be a “lingering thing.” With a yearning to have a second child, her doctors warn her of further impediments because she is a high risk carrier.
Kim guides her sister through the next steps for the hardships because of personal experience.
Kim Kardashian, recently filed a divorce from Kanye West, had two of her own children before reaching out to a surrogate mother for her third and fourth child.
Khloe states that a doctor was concerned about her well being, “she said that I would be a high-risk carrier for pregnancy…”
Khloe leaves out specifics from the general public, but discloses that it is an 80% chance that she will miscarry. She states, “I almost miscarried with True at the beginning… [The doctor] said she would be afraid and feel terrible putting one [embryo] in without warning me that most likely I wouldn’t be able to carry.”
Kim offers advice, telling her sister, “I had the best experience with surrogacy… You’ll see that the love that you have for your kids is exactly the same. There’s no difference except that someone else is the carrier.”
With that, Khloe says she is grateful for not being limited to only one option, since her experience with True’s pregnancy has been a blessing and an honor she has grown to love.
According to Khloe, “It’s such a beautiful experience to have. Knowing I’d might never get to feel like that again, it’s daunting, it’s scary, it’s stressful and it breaks my heart.”
