A heartwarming video has captured the priceless reaction of kids when their baby brother was brought to home after spending 3 months in an incubator.
Baby Findlay was born at only 27 weeks and 5 days old due to a placental abruption on Nov. 15, 2016. “He [the doctor] explained that I was having a placental abruption and the baby had to come now!” the mother later recalled.
“I was at this point bleeding too much and they couldn’t stop it.” She was then rushed to surgery and, thankfully, doctors managed to save both the mother and the baby. According to the doctors, they “were both very lucky to be alive.”
Findlay was extremely weak at the time of birth and weighed only 2lb 8oz.
“I was shocked as I was expecting him not to survive,” the mother said. “I lost half my body blood and had to be transfused 2 units of blood.”
The baby was admitted to hospital where he spent his next three months under the care of doctors.
Findlay was finally brought to his home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, on Feb. 1, 2017. However, his siblings weren’t given the news of his arrival.
So, when the two kids came back from their school and noticed a baby’s crib in the living room, they were overwhelmed with happiness!
Fortunately, their mother recorded their priceless reaction in a heartwarming video.
The footage first shows the brother entering the living room. And, just after he puts down his stuff, he shouts with joy upon noticing the baby in the crib.
After a few seconds, his sister also enters the room and shouts “Oh my God!” upon the sight of her baby brother.
The children then start crying uncontrollably due to the immense happiness of having their brother back after the terrifying ordeal.
