Every time we step out into the world, all we see is negativity and bloodshed.
The things which bring joy to the soul are either too less in number or inexistent because they fail to catch our eye.
Well, if we are not able to see good in others, instead of criticizing, we can become good ourselves and give others a reason to smile.
The above philosophy might be a far-fetched task for us, however, the children are too pure-hearted to let go of the opportunity.
One such kid is Thomas Moore, an 8-year-old who decided to let his hair grow long for the coming years. No, it was not his decision because he wanted to sport a fun hairstyle to fascinate the world (not a bad idea if you think of it).
Moore was planning on growing his hair because after his mother showed him a video of a 5-year-old girl suffering from cancer, it touched her heart.
Even though the kid was only 8 then, he could understand the gravity of the situation that little girl was going through and it inspired him to do something about it.
Since his mother, Angie Pulos, spotted the kid watching the video so intensely, she took it upon herself to explain him everything there is to cancer and chemotherapy.
When Moore confronted her about why the child didn’t have any hair, she told him how the drugs and cancer treatment can have adverse effects on an individual’s body.
The child was surprised to know how drugs which are meant to cure a patient can prove dire for their other body tissues, especially hair and scalp, too.
The mere thought of the amount of pain the children go through to deal with chemotherapy startled the child and he decided to let his hair grow for as long as they can make two good wigs.
He wanted that little girl to have his hair, no matter how long would it take him to grow them.
As soon as his aunt shared this heart-warming tale on Twitter, the netizens took it upon themselves to share it and it went viral. Now that Thomas is a teenager with short hair, he is considering growing them again and helping more people suffering from cancer.
