Kim Kardashian talked about young climate activist Greta Thunberg and described the 16-year-old as ‘such a brave and strong young woman.
’
The 38-year-old said that she would love her kids to meet Greta, she said, ‘Absolutely, I would [love] my children, I would love everyone to meet her.’
Speaking to Reuters, Kim said: ‘I would really love to speak to her parents and to see how they’ve encouraged her. Did she always have that in her?’
‘Speaking on a big platform invites a lot of different opinions and personalities and how they [Greta’s parents] manage that.’
‘I think she’s such a brave and strong young woman that has really stood up for what she believes in.’
‘Thunberg is such an amazing young girl, and so brave and courageous to stand up to these grown-ups that can be very scary and for her to be so open and honest is exactly what we need.’
Kim regularly takes private jet when she travels and she is not the most environmentalist but she came out as a big supporter of teen climate activist Greta.
‘Climate change is a serious problem,’ said Kim.
‘My kids are extremely cautious. We took out all the plastic in our home, and we make specific decisions that are based on the environment. Just even to teach them, like, why are all of the plastic containers in our home and our pantry gone and its now all glass. And how do we recycle.’
Kim has defended other well-known people like Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, who received flak for using private jets.
They were ‘very passionate about decisions that change the world,’ Kardashian said of the royal couple.
‘I still love and value the fact that they bring such attention to such important movements that need to happen and they are really passionate about because they are still changing the world,’ Kim said.
