Recently a fourth-grade teacher, Megan Parson from Celia Hays Elementary School in Rockwall ran through the storm to save the parents from Tornado.
There was an end of the year party going on which just finished around 2:45 and then there was an announcement made by the principle that everyone needs to take shelter.
Megan said that the sky was really dark at that time, and she knew that there was a tornado watch in that area.
All the students were sent in the schools’ tornado safety plan room where there are no windows. The student leaned like a turtle where they kept their hands on their neck and head.
The police officer asked the teachers to bring in the parents who are waiting for their kids outside. Megan Parson, who is a 25-year fashion blogger on Instagram, was wearing a kimono and suede shoes that she bought from Target.
She said that any girl who owns a suede shoe know that if they get wet, then they’ll get ruined — so knowing that she opened her shoes and ran outside wearing her kimono so that she can bring in the parents.
The parents were lined outside to pick their kids, and Megan was waving her hand towards them, but they didn’t understand, so she started going to each car to convey the message.
Megan claims that she didn’t know why she was running from one car to another because they should be able to see that people are getting out of their vehicles. Parson was running down the street to make sure that every parent is out of their cars.
Parson ran through every car and asked them to come inside for shelter. There were babies, dogs, grandparents, moms, and dads inside the school after that.
She further said that she wasn’t the only teacher out there as others were also doing the job. Parson was so concerned about every single parent that her only concern was to get all of them inside safely.
People captured photos and videos of Parson running to save everyone, whereas the Tornado was just a few miles away from her.
Later she was called a hero as her red kimono also resembled a super hero’s cape.
