A bushfire has been burning in South Wales, Australia and it is devastating the lives of hundreds of animals.
The one to be most affected by it is the koala bears living in the region. Koala bears are already reducing down and are on the verge of getting into the list of endangered species.
The fire is burning in the region koala bears call their home and it is killing several of them.
In a heroic act was recorded on the camera where a brave heart woman saves the life of a koala bear who is injured and surely cannot save himself from the fire.
Toni Doherty was on the street when she saw a koala bear crawling through the street who was not able to walk as he was injured.
On a closer look, she saw he was going back to the bushfire. She started running towards him and he was on a bit of fire but then.
Toni Doherty rushed and took her top off, she then picked the koala up who was burnt and dipped him into the water to take the fire off. She then covered the bear into her top and started running.
She ran and ran to take the bear out of the fire which she had jumped in without any fear. She then covered the bear into a towel to keep him safe.
She then took him to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, where several other animals were being treated who were injured in the bush fire.
This koala was lucky enough to be saved but there were hundreds of more animals in the fire and most of them could not make it out on time. Some are dead; some are at the edge of dying and have no help.
