After Vanessa Bryant filed a death lawsuit in February after her husband and daughter’s death, pilot Ara Zobayan’s relative has chosen to come up and speak.
On the 8th of May, to speak against the lawsuit, Berge Zobayan came up as the representative for the 50 years old pilot who was killed in the helicopter crash along with the passengers.
Zobayan said that the passengers are to be blamed for the fatal accident that took so many lives.
38 years old Bryant, the wife and the mother of the deceased have filed a wrongful death suit against the helicopter company Island Express Helicopters.
She not only blamed the company for keeping the helicopter less secured, but she also blamed the pilot. Her claim says that the pilot of the helicopter, who himself died in the crash, was at fault as he failed to report the weather conditions and neglected the safety and monitoring for the helicopter.
The claim says that he lacked in aborting the flight due to frigid weather conditions and thick clouds which caused the fatal accident.
Bryant also complained about how the helicopter owner company Island Express Helicopters is liable for the accident as they knew or should have known about Zobayan’s previous violations.
As per the records, Zobayan had violated the rules by flying in low visibility range earlier as well.
Bryant and her 3 daughters are seeking general, economic, and punitive damages after their father and sister died.
When the lawsuit was filed, Island Express Helicopters was forced to comment on the situation. The company said that whatever happened was a massive tragedy but they are not going to comment on the situation in any manner.
The lawyers of the company denied coming up and speaking at all on the situation. The accident happened on the 26th of January and the case is still in the run.
