Krispy Kreme Australia has collaborated with the animated TV series Rick and Morty and launched a new range of doughnuts.
It is offering three doughnut flavors: Pickle Rick (lemon-flavoured), Simple Rick’s Wafer Cookie, and Strawberry Smiggles.
The company made sure the doughnut definitely doesn’t taste like a pickle. Krispy Kreme says this creation comes ‘from a reality where pickles taste like lemon crème and white choc.’
The company has also released the Simple Rick’s Wafer Cookie Doughnut and the Strawberry Smiggles Doughnut. The first will be filled with vanilla creme and strawberry truffle, while the Smiggles doughnut is topped with mini marshmallows and meringue chunks with a strawberry filling.
Not only this but Krispy Kreme is coming up with a Fleeb Juice milkshake which is a mixture of raspberry and ‘blue heaven’ flavors.
Krispy Kreme said: “Of all the realities Rick and Morty could possibly stumble upon, ours is the most delicious! Try these amazing doughnuts before they vanish through a portal to a different dimension!”
The special range will be in the market until 16 March. You can get the doughnuts in Krispy Kreme stores across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, the ACT, Western Australia and Auckland. They won’t be sold at BP stations or at 7-Elevens, but they are available on UberEats.
Rick and Morty also teamed up with Pringles earlier this year to launch a special Super Bowl product.
Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles said in a statement: “We want to do something completely new for the brand for the 2020 Big Game and are thrilled to be partnering with Adult Swim and Rick and Morty, a show which continues to grow in popularity year after year and enjoys a cult fan following. We hope the new special edition Pickle Rick flavor will be a hit with the show’s fans.”
