An adorable black Lab at a Louisiana shelter gives his best smile every time people stop to talk to him.
Berreaux was taken in by the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana when he was only 8 weeks old. He convinces people to choose him over other pooches by flashing a goofy smile at anyone who talks to him.
A video of Berreaux shared by the shelter shows his smiling face and it just one week, it has already been viewed more than a quarter of a million times!
The adorable pup’s photos have also gained thousands of likes.
The director of the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana, Courtney Wingate, said to The Dodo that Burreaux was only 8 weeks old when he came to the shelter.
She had found him with two other pups, Joe and O, and took them in. Then she noticed something adorable about Burreaux: when someone uses a high voice to talk to him and say he is a ‘good boy,’ he smiles!
Sarah Walton, a volunteer, said: “It’s whenever you’re talking real sweet to him… he gets this smile like he wants something. [It’s] like he’s telling you,”‘Come pet me, come love me.’”
Staff hope that the pooch’s cute trick will help him find forever home, especially his brother already got adopted.
“We were thinking, ‘Burreaux wants a home so bad that he’s always smiling, trying to cute it up,’” Walton said. “So we took that video and now it’s going viral.”
