Lady Gaga will reportedly shoulder all of her dog walker’s medical bills after the young man was shot in the chest while walking her dogs.
Following the shocking Hollywood shooting during which two of the singer’s dogs, French Bulldogs named Koji and Gustav, were stolen, 30-year-old dog walker Ryan Fischer was rushed to the hospital.
While the Shallow hitmaker’s dogs were later found tied to a pole by an unnamed woman, Ryan remains in hospital where he is still recovering after being shot by two thugs who ambushed him while he was walking the singer’s dogs.
According to recent reports, Lady Gaga now feels “indebted” to her dog walker and will shoulder the $97,500 medical bills that the young man is facing.
“Gaga feels horrendous about what happened to Ryan and wants to make sure he is looked after. She absolutely adores him and is forever indebted to him for his bravery,” a source close to Lady Gaga reportedly told the Mirror.
“She also wanted to compensate him for lost work, and has been wishing him a speedy recovery.”
While Mr Fischer remains in the hospital as of this writing, his family confirmed that he is expected to make a full recovery.
“Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery,” the family said according to TMZ.
“We cannot possibly say enough to thank all of the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to care for Ryan.”
In a statement to TMZ, the family also thanked Lady Gaga for continuing to show concern for Ryan during his recovery.
“Of course, we also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan and our family right from the outset. Ryan loves Gustavo and Koji as much as Lady Gaga does; so we join in her plea for their safe return,” they previously said.
Since then, Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs have been found unharmed and are now in safe hands.
