Lady Gaga has broken her silence and paid a tribute to her dog walker after he got shot in the chest while walking her bulldogs.
In her message, the 34-year-old celebrity called her injured walker a “hero” as she thanked 30-year-old Ryan Fischer for putting his life on the line to fight for the family.
“I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero,” the Shallow hitmaker wrote in her recent tweet.
The singer also took the opportunity to double down on her promise to reward the person who has her dogs, Gustav and Koji, with $500,000 for their safe return.
“My beloved dogs Koji and Gustav were taken in Hollywood two nights ago. My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness,” she wrote. “I will pay $500,000 for their safe return. Email [email protected] to contact us.”
Lady Gaga’s family dogs were stolen on Wednesday when armed thugs ambushed Fischer while he was walking the pooches in a residential area in Hollywood. In security footage from the scene, a white sedan was seen pulling up before two men rushed out of the vehicle and surrounded the 30-year-old.
After shooting Fischer in the chest, the two men took Koji and Gustav and fled the scene. The singer’s third dog remained behind and was later found shaking in Fischer’s arms.
Following the dognapping, Gaga, who is currently shooting a new movie in Rome, Italy, offered to pay $500,000 with “no questions asked” upon safe return of her dogs.
The singer now doubled down on her offer even though law enforcement officials slammed her offer saying it’s putting the investigation at risk and suggesting it could be encouraging other criminals to steal pets of celebrities in hopes of being offered high rewards.
As for Mr Fischer, he survived the shooting and is currently in stable condition.
