Lady Gaga’s father has spoken out and called for the dognappers who stole his daughter’s French bulldogs to be charged with attempted murder.
While the singer’s two missing dogs, Koji and Gustav, have already been found by an unidentified woman who is yet to claim the $500,000 reward promised by Gaga, the thieves who shot the singer’s dog walker are still walking free.
Two of Lady Gaga’s dogs were stolen on Wednesday when armed thugs ambushed 30-year-old Ryan Fischer while he was walking the pooches in a residential area in Hollywood.
In surveillance footage from the scene, a white sedan was seen pulling up before two thieves exited the vehicle and attacked Mr Ryan.
After shooting Fischer in the chest, the two suspects took Koji and Gustav and fled the scene. The singer’s third dog remained behind and was later found shaking in Fischer’s arms.
While all the dogs are now in safe hands after a mystery woman found Gustav and Koji tied to a pole at an undisclosed location, Lady Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta, spoke out to Fox News to call for the hunt on the dog thieves to continue.
“I want them apprehended so that they are tried for assault and/or attempted murder,” he said on Saturday.
“I am relieved that Ryan is going to be OK and Koji and Gusatv were found. Thanks to the LAPD… Letting Koji and Gustav go unharmed was nice but they must be punished for what they did to Ryan. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the emergency room.”
Following the shocking dognapping in Hollywood, Ryan has been rushed to hospital where he now remains in a stable condition.
As the dad previously also confirmed, Lady Gaga has been in touch with Ryan after the dog walker was ambushed and shot in the chest.
