Lady Gaga has won many awards, and she revealed that she keeps her Grammys on…an IKEA shelf.
Lady Gaga shared a pic on Instagram and Twitter. In the picture she is posing with a framed photo of the soundtrack album from her hit movie, A Star Is Born, which just went platinum.
Fans noticed the background of the shot, a white shelf packed with eight Grammy awards. “A year ago, A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum,” she wrote in the caption, referencing both her success and new ‘do.
While most fans congratulated Gaga on her accomplishment, some made comments like, “Lady Gaga out here putting her Grammy’s in an IKEA bookshelf,” and “You display these awards on an IKEA shelf??” That called for an official investigation.
Earlier, people said Gaga’s shelf looks like it’s totally from IKEA. “Lady Gaga out here putting her Grammy’s in an IKEA bookshelf,” wrote an Instagram follower. “She’s a woman of the people,” said another.
Meanwhile, on Twitter one fan posed the burning question to Mother Monster herself. “You display these awards on an IKEA shelf??” they asked.
Fans also learned that her basement is super normal through an interview done at her Hollywood Hills home, which included a tour of Lady Gaga’s basement. Here’s an excerpt from the writer:
“I am in a basement. If you are a suburbia-bred American, it’s probably the basement of your youth: parquet floor, a stack of board games in the corner, those plastic Container Store bins with drawers that are stuffed with white things I can only assume are T-shirts from high school concerts and charity 5Ks. There is a dry-erase board on one wall.”
