After it was revealed that Prince George will be taking ballet classes, a morning TV host cruelly mocked him.
According to the reports, the Prince will be attending weekly ballet classes for £18,000 a year at St. Thomas’s School in Battersea.
TV host Lara Spencer said that the future king of the U.K. will be putting down Playdoh to take on computer programming, poetry, Religious Studies, and ballet, along with other things.
Trying to control her laughter, she further said that according to Prince Willian, George loves ballet and commented that she will see how long it lasts.
Although Spencer has apologized for her comments, a group of three hundred dancers united at Times Square, New York to support the Prince and prove that boys dance as well.
The class was led by professional dancers and both female dance enthusiasts and boys of Prince George’s age attended it.
Professional dancer Alex Wong shared the footage of the dance lesson on Instagram and declared that 300 dancers were present for the ballet class in front of Good Morning America studio in Times Square.
He further added that he felt overwhelmed with the dance community standing together for such an important issue.
He admitted that he did not start dancing until he was young since he believed dancing is only for girls.
Alex also revealed that it took his parents two years to convince him and he is glad. He hopes that the next generation of males do not have to deal with bullying at all.
Even other professional dancers and celebrities have come forward to speak against Lara’s comments.
Former Strictly judge, Arlene Philips, stepped forward to criticize the outdated, shameful, harmful attitude that was being broadcast to masses.
Brian Friedman was also appalled and posted on Instagram a picture where he wrote that the future King of England is being shamed by a mature woman on National TV in the U.S.A for taking ballet.
