A recent poll conducted online has gone on to reveal some shocking confessions about how the support for the Black Lives Matter Movement is slowly but surely showing a rapid decline.
It has reportedly been 18 months since George Floyd was killed, and that’s when the popular movement came into effect. But now, the poll has gone on to state how those results are showing a dramatic drop in the overall effect.
This popular poll was reportedly conducted by the Civiqs which is known to be a popular online survey organization. It is usually associated with the renowned and very popular media group named Daily Kos.
Results from the famous poll revealed how nearly 44 percent of the responders are currently in support of the famous BLM movement.
It has dropped out from the massive surge of 52 percent of respondents who went on to support the BLM movement, right after George Floyd passed away in May of last year in the state of Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, reports have also revealed how the number of opposers for the Black Lives Movement has spiked over the same timeframe. At the moment, 44 percent of individuals currently oppose the movement which is up from nearly 28 percent, just days after George Floyd died tragically.
On the other hand, 11 percent of individuals revealed how they neither support nor oppose the Black Lives Movement and prefer to take a neutral stand upon the cause. Similarly, one percent of individuals spoke about how they still remain at an unsure status as revealed by the poll.
Nearly half of the respondents that oppose Black Lives Matter are white while 82 percent of those that support it were revealed to be black, the poll stated.
The Black Lives Matter movement was first founded in the year 2013 after a man named George Zimmerman was acquitted for killing a black teenage boy named Trayvon Martin.
