Twenty-six-year-old Catalina Lauf who is a Latina Republican congressional candidate, slammed socialist Representative, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) by saying during and interview on Tuesday that she loves America unlike Ocasio-Cortez.
Lauf made an appearance on Fox Business’ Varney & Co. She addressed the anti-AOC label there. Ever since she has announced that she will run for Congress, she has been dubbed as anti-AOC.
However, Lauf said that she is not anti-anyone but pro-America. She even denied that she is driven by hate towards AOC and her friends. She remarked that she is just fiercely driven by admiration for her country.
Her public image rose significantly as her followers touched 16,000 from 1,000 since last week, and this is why she was invited for an interview. She featured in The New York Post, The Daily Wire and Fox News, which contributed to her popularity.
During her first TV appearance on Saturday on Fox News’ Fox and Friends, she defended the Trump administration for being racist due to their hardline stances on immigration.
She noted that people like her grandmother and mother and other Hispanic Americans who came to the U.S.A. legally feel insulted by addressing him as racist, as they did it the right way.
She added that the President is doing his best to safeguard the country and America should be enforcing legal immigration laws.
Talking about her plans to reach millennials and her desire to be a voice screaming freedom, she said that it stars by making a unifying message.
She exclaimed that millennials are reasonable people who have the power of voice, and they just need leadership to comprehend that freedom comes first. She noted that they do not have it yet for their generation and she hopes and inspires to be that.
