A fan has decided to sue Madonna for changing the time of her Miami concert from 8:30 p.
m. to 10:30 p.m.
However, this is not the first fan to be mad at Madonna for being tardy in her concerts. As a matter of fact, people around the country are fed up with her habit of showing up late.
In a response to all the anger from the fans on being late, Madonna said onstage in Las Vegas last Saturday: “A queen is never late.”
The super angry fan who filed a suit against Madonna in Miami-Dade County court a week ago is Nate Hollander.
Hollander told the court that he spent more than $1000 to purchase three tickets for Madonna’s “Madame X” tour on December 17 at Fillmore Beach Miami.
But the change in timing of the concert, months after he got the tickets, has made it impossible for him to attend the show.
The breach of contract suit filed by the angry fan establishes that Madonna is known for being late in her concerts and even the first show of the “Madame X” tour started more than two hours after the official time.
The suit further says that the management has deliberately delayed the upcoming concerts because of the star’s habit of being late.
There’s also an 11 p.m. curfew imposed by Miami-Dade County for people below the age of 18, which means that teenagers who planned on attending the show without an adult now cannot attend the concert at all.
Hollander also told the court that he tried to get the tickets refunded from Live Nation but couldn’t get a refund.
He added that the market value of the tickets is now lesser than what he paid for them because of the change in the timing of the concert.
Madonna’s tweet showing the moment from the concert when she said a queen is never late has been met with severe criticism from the fans.
It looks like some fans are mad at the change of the timings of the upcoming shows while others are still angry about her being late for the past concerts.
People who attended the Thursday’s show at Vegas said they had to wait for her showing up on the stage even after midnight.
“The guy next to me was snoring louder than her songs and a lot of people were chanting for a ticket refund,” said a participant of the show. “It was a disaster.”
