A couple in the legal profession have been pictured by the Black Lives Matter protesters pointing assault rifles and handguns at the peaceful protesters in the proximity of their properties.
The couple’s name is Mark and Patricia McCloskey, professionally ordained for the bar as personal injury lawyers who lives in Forest Park, St.point 126 | Louis, an affluent neighbourhood within the city.point 169 | They were caught exercising their rifle-wielding rights at around 6pm, straightaway pointing their weaponry to the protesters.point 279 |
What they ‘supposedly’ felt was a threat to their security, thinking the protesters for the cause to repatriate the late George Floyd was trying to invade their luscious palace of a property.point 172 | 1
The couple confronted the group of about 300 protesters after they broke down a gate in the neighborhood.
The protesters were en route to Mayor Lyda Krewson’s home to demand her resignation after she released the names and addresses of residents who had suggested defunding the police department.
On Friday night, Mayor Lyda Krewson issued a statement apologizing for her actions. The full statement is below:

The ACLU of Missouri responded with the following response, after much controversy was sparked by the mayor’s response:
‘Today adds to the list of things we never thought we would have to say. To be clear, it is shocking and misguided for Mayor Lyda Krewson of St. Louis, to broadcast the addresses of those who dare to express a different viewpoint on an issue of public concern.
‘It serves no apparent purpose beyond intimidation. We are stronger when we foster open dialogue. The chilling of debate should bother everyone, no matter whether they agree or disagree with the mayor on this particular issue.’
