A lesbian couple who ditched their boyfriends for one another is now celebrating their double joy after getting pregnant by the same donor.
33-year-old Zoe and her partner Holly Anderson Ross, who hail from East Sussex, claim they’re made for one another and have been waiting for this moment for quite some time. Therefore, when the couple heard the news that they were both pregnant and had conceived just one week apart from each other, they just couldn’t handle the joy.
The couple was reportedly inseminated by the same sperm donor and that means now, their babies will be biological half-siblings, making their happy moments all the sweeter.
According to media outlets, Zoe claims she took her pregnancy test early in February, just to find out the good news relating to her pregnancy. And when it came positive, she couldn’t believe it. But on Valentine’s Day, her partner Holly took her pregnancy test, only to find out a similarly positive result, doubling the couple’s joy to new extremes.
“We feel ever so lucky, explained Zoe in a recent interview. “We have waited for this moment for a really long time and now that’s it’s finally happening, we feel so happy and blessed!”
Holly added her feelings on the matter, explaining how this week was an absolute whirlwind for her. “I feel so happy that we are both going to go through our pregnancies together. That idea went out of my head and I just couldn’t believe it,” she exclaimed.
Before this, the couple was reportedly dating their male friends. But when they set their ones over one another at a party, they felt an instant connection and attraction that they both tried to fight off.
Initially, they each dismissed the thought of liking each other, but in 2009, they ditched their boyfriends and became a couple. Since then, they’ve been going stronger than ever.
