Toshi Salvino 24 years old hailing from Pennsylvania is fond of dolls. Toshi is a makeup artist and hairstylist. She also loves the Harajuku style so she learned to become a doll and has transformed herself into a doll.
It takes her 3 hours to turn into a doll and she makes herself a doll for four to six days a week. She properly dresses up like a doll and looks like a fairy. Toshi told Barcroft Tv that she likes being a doll as she is not dependent on anyone and can do whatever she likes to do. She self expresses herself through doll-like looks and to Toshi her body is like a canvas where she transforms and expresses her feelings.
She takes her body to go and feel the fairy tale world and wants that other person also travel to the realm of fairyland through her makeup artist.point 237 |

During childhood, she was inspired by Japanese fashion magazines and thus started dressing with these mysterious looks. Toshi is a resident of Pennsylvania so people there used to ask her to tone down her makeup and looks but here in New York, the case is different as people accept the way you are.
She has tattooed her joints and limbs as screwed limbs of a doll and as she suffers from Lyme disease so the screws are an apt representation of the pain she bears on. The makeup she wears is a careful combination of rainbow colors her hair is also dyed in the same fashion.
Her friends Alexandria and Juliana say that Toshi depicts herself the way the world wants to look and the way people want the surroundings to look like. She just spreads happiness in the black and white world which is amazing. The manager of hello beauty saloon Rebecca says that she depicts herself and is full of art and glitter.
Toshi also plays for club nights as a fairy doll and it gives her pleasure to see kids taking her as a real fairy and says that people must hold enough confidence to become the personality they wish for.
