Have you ever heard of a man with a horn on his head? Oh, you must have, but only in stories, I assume but when it happened to this farmer, he was terrified and rushed to the hospital to seek medical help.
Shyam Lal Yadav, who is a farmer and lives in Madhya Pradesh’s Rahli village with his family, had to go under surgery to remove a growth on his head that the doctors called ‘Devin’s Horn.’ Doesn’t it give chills to you? It surely does to me though.
Shyam Lal said “About 5 years ago I one bumped my head somewhere and it was nothing major at first. A few days later I noticed a little bump which turned into a lump that was very hard.
I then went to my barber and asked him to cut it off which he did. But the growth did not stop. It grew 4 inches long and I had to get medical help for it then.”
Bhagyoday Tirth Hospital in Sagar city’s doctors confirmed that the lump was a devil’s horn that is built up with keratin, the same element from which hair and nails are made of.
The doctors said that the horn is built because of a reaction of sunlight or radiation and thus the keratin formation came out.
Surgeon Dr. Vishal Gajbhiye said that after getting the CT scan report of the horn, they decided that the best way to get rid of the horn will be by cutting it off with a razor.
After cutting it off they treated the man with surgery and covered the area with his skin. Shaym Lal is recovering from it now.
The doctors said there was a possibility of the need for chemotherapy, another surgery or something more but now the wound is treated and it shows no signs of any kind of harm to the patient.
