Of course, pets become one of our best friends of all time.
The love between a pet and the owner is mutual and they both love each other to the moon and back. The same happened to the 18 year old Emma was devastated when her 14 year old dog Milly, Yorkshire terrierpassed away.
Losing a dearest friend whom she had right when she was four was in itself a traumatic thing but, adding to this Emma who works at one of the sandwich stores had to lose her job after she got fired for not going to work when she lost her let dog.
Emma from Baillieston, Scotland was fired after she called up her manager at the stores; she was asked find a replacement for her shift. Emma was supposed to be logging into the shift at 3 am.
Since, she was unable to find a replacement she was asked not to bother about it. The manager also asked her not to come to work for the whole week post which she received an email stating that she was fired.
The email made her feel sad and she immediately took it to the social media where more than 3000 people signed the petition for the injustice .
Emma did also speak to BBC and told them that how the management had refused to give her bereavement leave for her pet dog’s leave.
She even told that she was really upset about the behavior of the manager and the way she had to lose both her job and her pet one on the same day.
Well, we all know that our pets would live only for certain years and we must definitely be prepared to understand that because they are not humans.
However, we should also be pretty sensitive in handling such things because this can be quite an emotional situation.
Despite explaining the situation the manager of the store would not budge and that tore Emma even more because when you lose a pet, you end up losing yourself and the young girl would be shattered from losing her childhood best friend, isn’t it?
