People who have pets will always be afraid of losing their pets.
Since they are a part of their family, losing pets is one of the most heartbreaking things to happen to the family that owns pets.
When you lose your dog, the first three hours are the most important time to find. Experts recommend dog owners to make fliers in advance so they can use it as soon as they lose their dog.

Kathy Wilkes-Myers knew how the family with a lost dog would feel so she could not just walk by the dog when she spotted a Rottweiler called Ella who was wandering the open road near the highway.
She could feel that Ella is not a stray dog. She told CBS, “I could just tell right away she was somebody’s baby. She just didn’t act like a stray dog to me.”
Kathy brought Ella home and gave her some food and water. Ella hadn’t eaten anything for two weeks.
As Kathy thought Ella is not a stray dog, she began to investigate.
Kathy remembered that there was a terrible car accident where Ella was found. When Kathy returned to the site to find some pieces of evidence to find Ella’s owner, she found a pile of personal items that Ella had been collecting. Those were of her family. Kathy found broken glass and tail lights, and nearby was a candle that said ‘Michelle’ on it, a toothbrush, and other household items.

“She was hoping her family could come back. But they couldn’t. They couldn’t come back. It just breaks your heart,” said Kathy. “It was like she was sleeping with them — or waiting with them.”
Since the car crash was so severe that the vehicle landed on its roof, Kathy assumed that Ella’s family, the Kelleys, all died because of the accident but checked once more with the highway patrol to be sure.
“She[the patrol] gave me the mom’s name and the dad’s name and the mom’s name was Michelle. And I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is their dog,’ ” she said.
It turned out to be a reunion!

Ella was thrown out from the car during the accident and the rescue crew couldn’t find her. The accident was so horrible and all five family members (father Joe, mother Michelle, and their three children) got hurt and were sent to a nearby hospital.
They later said that they thought Ella was dead because of the accident.
Thanks to Kathy’s effort to find Ella a family again, this lovely dog and her family finally reunited two weeks after their accident.
Kathy’s kindness doesn’t end there. As the Kelleys had to stay temporarily in the place that doesn’t allow dog because of an accident and their medical expenses, Kathy has promised to hold on to Ella for as long as the Kelleys need to get back on their feet.
