In an increasingly global world, it’s easy to do a lot of thing via Internet.
Still, however, we can never quite realize just how powerful Internet is. For instance, would you believe if I told you that someone found her long-lost biological father through Facebook?
Well, this actually happened to a woman named Melonie Dodaro, who lives in British Columbia.
After 46 years of knowing only her biological father’s name, Melonie decided that it was time for her to try to locate him.
Sadly, however, she had no other information – she knew that he was from Netherlands, but that was just about it. To make her situation worse, his name was apparently the most common name in Netherlands; thus, it wouldn’t really help her in tracking him down.
Feeling desperate, Melonie turned to one last resort that she thought might help: the Internet.
On her Facebook account, Melonie posted a video of her – asking desperately to her friends to share the video to find her father.
Along with the video, Melonie wrote, “I’ve never met my biological father and quite often am overwhelmed with curiosity who he is and if I have any siblings.”

And this was shared more than thousand times – and guess what happened?
In less than 72 hours, she was on the phone with her father.
It turned out that he lives in Thailand. Not only that, he was quite famous as an Elvis impersonator!
And her father told her that he tried to find her in the past, but couldn’t because her mother had changed her maiden name.
In addition to this surprise, Melonie also gained two half-siblings: Elvis and Priscilla.

Now that Melonie knows where her father lives, she says that she plans to visit Thailand with her family to meet him for the first time.
