For many of us, winning the jackpot on a lottery of any kind is a lifelong dream that is unlikely to be realized – even winning a much smaller prize proves elusive to so many on a daily basis.
However, for 50 year old Mark Clark, lightning did seem to strike twice as he managed to win his second lottery jackpot on a scratch off. Clark is a resident of South Rockwood, MI.
Clark said that even he didn’t expect to win the lottery once, let alone twice. He said that after his first win, he was entirely sure that he will never win $4 million again in his lifetime, yet he somehow managed to do so. The lucky man said no words can explain his feelings.
Clarks incredible story of beating the odds begins in 2017, when he bought a lottery without much thought at a fuel station. When the ticket told him to go see the clerk, the clerk scratched the rest off the ticket to find out that Clark had just won $4 million – the jackpot prize.
At that time, Clark made his living by delivering fuel, which is why he bought his lucky ticket at a gas station. After finishing the job on hand, Clark retired from his job.
Although it is unclear why Clark bought another lottery ticket even though he thought another jackpot was out of reach, he still bought another ticket this month.
He said that he used a lucky coin his father had given him some 10 years ago to scratch a ticket, only to find out he just won another $4 million. Saying that his father passed away last year due to his health complications, Clark said the coin must have had some role in this incredible chance.
Clark said he will use the money as an addition to his already large retirement fund. He is said to enjoy fishing after he quit his daily job – a leisure that the first win brought him.
He shared how he had many memories of spending time with his late father as they fished together, and said he is glad he that he has more time to spend with his own son fishing.
We congratulate him for his incredible luck. Share with us your thoughts on this issue, and be sure to follow us on Facebook for more news like this one.
