EuroMillions winner Steve Thomson bought a second-hand car after winning a £105million($140m) jackpot.
He says flashy motors are a ‘waste of money’ and he will continue to work as he feels it makes him ‘feel normal.’
The 42-year-old Lotto winner and his wife Lenka, 41, have purchased a second-hand car since their win. The couple shares three children together and the wife has already quit her job at a convenience store near their home in Selsey, West Sussex.
Speaking to Mirror Online, Steve said that the jackpot set him on an ’emotional rollercoaster’ he explained it as ‘very stressful’ as it left him struggling to sleep. He said that going back to work part-time is the way to cope up with the situation.
He said: ‘I feel normal and that’s how I want to stay. I’m trying to finish some jobs before Christmas.
‘I won’t be able to finish all of them, but I’m doing what I can between meetings.’
The family will move to a three-bedroom house so their children can have their own bedrooms. Steve says that he will enjoy his winning amount only when he knows that his family, friends and community are happy.
It is all about luck when it comes to winning a lottery.
People who win a huge amount in the lottery are really lucky and earlier this year two friends bought identical lottery tickets with numbers and their luck made them a winner.
The anonymous friends, from Goolwa, south of Adelaide in Australia had never thought that one day they will become millionaires.
They are truly very lucky to have won such a big amount!
