This is a heartwarming moment a dog hopped on an ambulance to follow its owner to a hospital.
The loyal pooch didn’t want to take her eyes off of its owner so she decided to jump onto the rear bumper and waited for the people inside to let her in.
The paramedics opened the door of the ambulance to let the very concerned dog stay with her owner, who fell ill while they were taking an evening walk in Brazil.
The heart-melting video was filmed by Anderson Bahi after he saw the tiny pooch waiting near the ambulance.
In an interview with The Dodo, Anderson said: “I was passing in my car when I saw an ambulance stopped on the other side of the road.”
While first responders treated the pooch’s owner inside the ambulance, the loving pooch hopped onto the rear bumper to make sure her human was okay.
“The love this dog has for her owner is something very special,” Anderson expressed. “A faithful love.”
When the ambulance arrived at a nearby hospital, the small dog just sat outside the entrance and waited patiently for her owner.
Maria Lucia Muniz offered to take the pooch in for the night as she lives near the hospital.
Fortunately, the loyal dog did not have to wait for too long as she was soon reunited with her owner.
“It was very emotional,” Maria said.
“But thank God, the owner was only hospitalized for 45 minutes. His family arrived to take him and his dog home.”
One person commented: “That is why I prefer dogs to some humans that I know. They are far more loyal than humans. Love this dog. Beautiful. Glad his owner is OK now and back with his dog.”
Another wrote: “Dogs really are the ultimate companions and far more civilised than many humans.”
