Luke Keeler who is an Irish middleweight boxer has elevated the rumors of a potential fight between former UFC double-champion Conor McGregor and him.
He even said that Conor has agreed for the bout over the phone.
Yes, McGregor had called Keeler but only to argue about comments Keeler had made regarding an incident in one of Dublin’s pubs, which involved McGregor.
A video was recently uploaded in which a man was punching another man’s face in Dublin’s Marble Arch pub. The man who punched is believed to be McGregor.
The WBO European Champion Luke Keeler tweeted that he is sad to see McGregor stooping so low, and apparently did the same to Keeler’s friend a few years back.
He added that McGregor is still walking around like a gangster. Then he challenged McGregor to step in the ring again so that Keeler could feel happy about putting McGregor in his place.
Keeler also said that he has passed McGregor’s phone number to his manager so that they can fix Keeler’s fight with McGregor. Keeler further said that he is on a holiday and has not heard from McGregor yet.
He is not keeping his hopes high regarding the fight with McGregor and is currently focusing on world title fight scheduled next year on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. However, he will take the opportunity with both hands if it comes.
Keeler acknowledged that the fight would be a huge one, especially for Dublin and that a lot of people would pay to see McGregor getting beaten.
As per Keeler’s statement, it seems like he is quite confident about beating one of the most recognizable fighters and insisted he does not want to just show up for the fight but win it.
