Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have officially become parents after welcoming a baby boy into their family.
The 40-year-old Home Alone actor and his girlfriend are reportedly “overjoyed” after welcoming their first child, a healthy baby boy named Dakota, into their family last week.
As reported by Esquire, Song gave birth on April 5 at 1:10 in the afternoon. The baby was born in Los Angeles and weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces. As for the baby’s name, it appears to be a tribute to Culkin’s sister who died after suffering severe injuries during a 2008 accident outside a Los Angeles bar.
The happy news follows one year after the actor told Esquire that he and Brenda, whom he met back in 2017, were trying to start a family of their own.
“We practice a lot,” the Changeland star said at the beginning of 2020. “We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, ‘Honey, I’m ovulating.’”
Previously, Song also opened up about her relationship with the actor as she told the magazine that she can be nothing but happy whenever she’s around him.
“People don’t realize how incredibly kind and loyal and sweet and smart he is,” the Suite Life Of Zack & Cody star said as she professed her love for the actor.
“Truly what makes Mack so special is that he is so unapologetically Mack. He knows who he is, and he’s 100 percent okay with that. And that to me is an incredibly sexy quality. He’s worked really hard to be the person he is.”
