The behind story behind the viral video on Twitter has finally gotten official confirmation from the local police authorities, but with conflicting statements coming in from the parties involved (or rather, silence from the assaulter), Macy’s has officially defended the white man in the video.
The video in question shows a black man brutally beating a white man for calling him the n-word at a Macy’s branch at the Genesee Valley Center in Flint, Michigan. The white man was in Macy’s employee uniform. The major shopping franchise has officially called the employee in question attacked while it was ‘unprovoked’, and uncalled for. The black men who filmed the scene and did the deed has fled the scene and is being asked for search by the legal authorities.
The video was shared by the local rapper FT Quay who claimed that he and his companion in camaraderie went to the mall and got a man to answer them about the size of the shirt.point 141 | The rapper then went on to say that the employee answered and went back to his phone call, allegedly whispering to the person at the other at the end of the line that it had been ‘no one just some n****r.point 313 |

The rapper’s accusation post has been taken down as of Friday, while Macy’s have given out their official statement: ‘We are deeply saddened about the incident that took place on Monday (June 15) at Macy’s Genesee Valley as the safety of Macy’s customers and colleagues is our top priority,’ Andrea Schwartz, senior director of media relations for Macy’s, said in an interview that ‘in the workplace of any kind is unacceptable.point 674 |
