Madonna looked stunning as she posed for a rare selfie with her 24-year-old daughter Lourdes.
The 62-year-old pop diva wore a colorful flower crown as she wrapped her arms around her eldest child for a Saturday selfie. “Like Pieces of your Heart Walking around outside of you,” the singer captioned the photo.
After the selfie went viral, fans were quick to praise Madonna’s youthful looks and suggest that the mother and daughter could pass as sisters.
Others also pointed out that 24-year-old Lourdes, whom Madonna welcomed into her family back in 1996, is the spitting image of the 62-year-old pop singer.
While many praised the mother and daughter for encouraging body positivity with their selfie, some couldn’t get over the fact that Lourdes flaunted her armpit hair in the center of the photo.
“It’s Gross not to have heathy and hygienic habits,” someone wrote.
“Beautiful people but let’s call a sin a sin. Stop sugar coating things. Young lady you need to shave,” another one said.
One person wrote: “Omg how disgusting! Shave your armpits.”
Amid the backlash, some fans were quick to rush to the young singer’s aid and praise her for promoting body positivity.point 413 |

It appears that Lourdes has followed her mother’s example by ditching the razor. As Madonna previously recalled in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she first embraced hairy armpits back when she was still going to high school.
“And then, going to high school, I saw how popular girls had to behave to get the boys. I knew I couldn’t fit into that. So I decided to do the opposite. I refused to wear makeup, to have a hairstyle. I refused to shave. I had hairy armpits,” she said.
As she insisted, other students made fun of her and called her a “hairy monster” for challenging the norms by accepting her natural looks.
“Straight men did not find me attractive. I think they were scared of me because I was different,” she added. “I’ve always asked, ‘Why? Why do I have to do that? Why do I have to look this way? Why do I have to dress this way? Why do I have to behave this way?’”
