With the final season of Game of Thrones knocking on our doors, fans of the popular series can’t wait to see what will happen to their favorite characters and how the story evolves.
Due to all the hype around the series, however, HBO was forced to set strict rules and regulations to prevent potential story leaks from causing mayhem.
Despite all the measures taken, however, Maisie Williams has revealed a tad too much as she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Maisie, who plays Arya Stark in the Game of Thrones, revealed that she is not allowed to speak about what happened in season 8 to anyone.
Moments later, however, she accidentally dropped a major spoiler when she claimed that Arya dies in episode 2.
“You couldn’t give one little spoiler, one little hint – a crumb is all I ask, M’lady, just a crumb is all I’m asking for,” 44-year-old Fallon asked Williams.
She responded by saying: “During shooting, like, the final days were really emotional saying goodbye to all of the cast because when I found out that Arya died in like the second episode I was…”
After the announcement, the host appeared to be in shock while Maisie was covering her mouth with her hands visibly shaking.
If you’re done watching the video, then you already know the story behind Maisie’s big revelation. As it happens, the whole thing was staged as a part of April Fools’ Day!
After running off the stage, Maisie is approached by the host and together they pop right back on the stage and yell: “APRIL FOOLS!”
