Amber Luke is a 23-year-old body piercer from the Central Coast in NSW who developed a strong addiction to tattoos when she was just 16 years old.
Seven years after her first inking, Amber is unrecognizable and has over 50 tattoos all over her body, including the blue-colored eyeballs.
According to Amber, she has spent over $10,000 on her transformations up-to-date. Besides standard tattooing, she also had her tongue split, her eyeballs painted, and her earlobes stretched.
The young tattoo lover has been nicknamed the ‘Blue Eyes White Dragon’ and has zero regrets whatsoever. “I’m absolutely in love with my image,” Amber explained. “I got the name ‘Blue Eyed White Dragon’ from my friends; they call me that because I resemble a dragon with my eyes and tongue.”
“I see myself as very plain looking when looking at before and after photos, I absolutely hated the way I used to look. I was boring,” Amber expressed while observing her old pictures.
“I developed an addiction at 16 years of age. By the time I hit 18, I already had three tattoos. And when I turned 18, I decided to get my first big piece. Now, I have over 50 tattoos, I haven’t been able to count all of them,” Amber, who nowadays has over 49,000 followers on Instagram, said.
Her riskiest process involved getting her eyeballs tattooed blue. This procedure could have left her permanently blind. “The procedure for getting my eyes done was only 40 minutes,” Amber recalled. “It was very intense and very painful. My eyes got held open while a syringe was injected into my eye four times per eye. I was blind for three weeks.”
On her journey to total body transformation, she also went under the knife several times, including when she reshaped her ears and split her tongue.
“My ears were a very simple procedure; a silicone implant was inserted into the tips of my ears to shape them,” Blue Eyes White Dragon recalled. “My tongue split was very uncomfortable as well, I wasn’t able to speak or eat for a week afterwards.”
In the future, Amber wants to get even more tattoos and sharpen her fang teeth to gain the vampire look. “I draw the line with body modifications when it comes to implants in the skin. I was going to get horns implanted but changed my mind as I don’t think I would suit it,” she explained.
While not everyone is pleased with Amber’s decisions, she said that she loves her body the way it now is and receives a lot of support too. “My friends have all been very supportive of my modifications, and my mum has been my biggest supporter since day one. She cried when she found out that I tattooed my eyeballs, but then she came around.”
