Most of us have made a mistake of sending a message to the wrong person, and it is embarrassing 80 percent of the time.
But in this story, it turned out to be heartwarming and wholesome when a father got added to a random family’s WhatsApp chat.
Zachary Garrett was on the way to see the birth of his third child when he told his family that his wife was coming along nicely. He also shared a photo of his wife and his grandmother.
“Yeah, can’t wait. I know y’all are anxious. Love you both,” his grandmother replied.
“We love you too! She was already at a 4 [cm dilated] when they first checked her so it will probably be quick,” Zachary replied.
However, his grandma was not the only one reading his messages.
It is embarrassing enough to have a total stranger know how far dilated your wife is, but to see the entire conversation must’ve been humiliating.
Fortunately, ‘Bobby’ seems like a very nice guy. He kindly replied to the conversation: “”Don’t know how I got added to this group, cause I don’t think I know anyone in it!! LOL But anywho CONGRATS ZACH!! My name is Bobby by the way, shoot me your cashapp info and I will donate to the diapers.”
In an interview with Romper, Garrett said: “When we first heard from him I was a little embarrassed that me and my grandmother were talking away with him stuck in our group chat, but his selfie brought so much humour to the situation.
“We all had a good laugh! Bobby could have been really rude or told us to take him out of our chat but he didn’t. He was so nice about it!”
Zachary even sent him a photo afterwards showing his wife and daughter, Layla.
Since the epic story went viral, the father-of-three said: “All of us were amazed how much everyone enjoyed the story.
“We’ve gotten so many comments from people congratulating us on little Layla. And thanking Bobby for being such a good person!
“I saw a lot of people say it gave them faith in humanity.”
