A heartbroken man was caught on camera jumping into an aquarium full of fish in order to retrieve the engagement ring his girlfriend threw away as she rejected him.
The incident occurred at an Almi supermarket in Gomel, Belarus, where the 23-year-old man in question was recorded climbing into an aquarium to get back the engagement ring his girlfriend hurled away.
According to the reports, the scene was caught on camera by the young man’s friend, whereas the 23-year-old’s girlfriend got upset by the proposal and threw the ring away rather than just saying ‘no.’
To make matters worse for the romantic, he was forced to pay a fine after supermarket management accused him of hooliganism.
While he wasn’t immediately arrested by security guards at the store, the young man turned himself in after finding out that the police were looking for him because the supermarket filed a report.
Previously, a boyfriend has gone viral for proposing to his girlfriend during a fake robbery at a store in Boston, New York, with the help of his friends in an attempt to impress his girlfriend who is a mum-of-three.
As Juliano explained, he promised his girlfriend a one-of-a-kind proposal when the two were talking about their future together.
And so, he came up with the idea to stage a robbery whereas the hired crook pulled out a fake gun and pointed it at the cashier while Juliano and his girlfriend were hiding behind the shelves.
Later on, the fake robber also walked up to the couple as the woman was shivering in fear and asked Juliano if she was his wife. After Juliano confirmed, the actor said: “What do you mean you’re not married man? I don’t see a ring.”
He then reached into his duffel bag and pulled out a box with an engagement ring inside. The actor gave the ring box to Juliano and said: “What are you waiting for?”
As the man officially proposed, the shocked girlfriend asked him if he was serious before saying ‘yes’ and exclaiming: “I’m gonna kill you.”
After the incident went viral, Juliano admitted things didn’t go quite as planned.
“That’s not how I envisioned it going. I felt bad. And also I don’t think that’s the proposal she wanted to look back on,” he said as he revealed that he properly proposed to his fiancée once again during a romantic tour in Central Park in order for them to have a happy memory of the proposal.
