Police found dozens of diamonds hiding up in a man’s bum, which sounds not only impossible but also painful.
Eusebio Padilla, 23, from New Mexico was initially pulled over by police while out on his motorbike as he was driving without a license plate.
But sharp-eyed cops noticed him removing a small item from his backside, according to the Albuquerque Journal reports.
Officer Daniel DeGaff from Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office then took the small bag and opened it, finding 44 small diamonds!
Padilla was pulled over for driving without a license plate. The diamonds were only discovered after he tried to secretly remove it from his bum.
“Based on the uncommon behavior of concealing diamonds in packaging commonly used to store narcotics, and concealing it in his butt cavity, and the attempt to get rid of the item, it was apparent to me that Padilla must have known the baggy of diamonds was stolen,” the report read.
The complaint went on and when Padilla was asked, he admitted to the cop that the diamonds were probably stolen.
DeGraff wrote that the 23-year-old told him he got the stones from his uncle and was hoping to trade the diamonds for drugs.
He is now facing charges for tampering evidence and handling stolen property.
This is not the first time someone has tried to smuggle diamonds with their bum.
In 2015, cops in Thailand were investigating a case of a missing diamond which had been stolen from a jewelry fair after robbers switched it with fake a fake one.
The fair captured the robbery on CCTV and a man and a woman were arrested at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Medics had to pull the 6-carat diamond worth $392,000 from the woman’s butt.
