Eating KFC every day may not seem like the typical diet plan nutritionists suggest but one man tried to test out the theory and it worked –with drawbacks, of course.
38-year-old Mike Jeavons loves fried chicken so he decided to eat nothing but KFC for a week.
He spent $136 for this 7-day experiment and consumed around 2,000 calories per day. By the end of the week, he dropped 2lbs!
But don’t order your family bucket right away as Mike’s experiment also had many downsides. Because of his diet, his fat intake increased to 250 percent and his salt intake jumped to 150 percent of the recommended dietary allowance.
“I love KFC and wanted to see if I’d still love it if it was all I ate for a week,” Mike explained. “After I stopped the experiment, the week after I felt constantly thirsty and had headaches. I also really missed KFC!
“It was a lot of fun eating all this naughty food. Every day I would be really looking forward to mealtimes!
“It’s great as an occasional treat, but not something I’d recommend eating every day! It was fun to do but I wouldn’t want to do it again!”
Earlier this year, a 29-year-old man named Ryan Williams ate nothing but McDonald’s for a month.
“I’ve wanted to do this for a few years, but I never found the right time.
“Ever since I saw Super Size Me, I thought that the way he [Morgan Spurlock] did the experiment, was unfair.
“He ate 5,000 calories a day and didn’t do any exercise, I didn’t feel like it was a surprise he became so unhealthy.”
