The soon-to-be mom went to Facebook to reveal a picture of her “special” ring and explained how her boyfriend got her the ring over the festive period and it had just arrived.

“My boyfriend got me this cute ring for Christmas and I finally got it today,” the woman wrote. “It’s made from my breastmilk and so so special.”

The ring came in a small pink box that said “Mamma’s Liquid Love” on it, it features a white square in the middle containing the milk.

Although it’s not entirely sure whether it is an engagement ring, however, she is wearing it on that finger.

While some thought the idea was a lovely one, others weren’t so impressed with the breastmilk jewelry.

In the ring shaming groups on the social media platform, the woman’s ring was mocked and destroyed to pieces.

“I have a taxidermist on stand-by to clean my pet’s skulls so I can keep them on the mantle after they pass away and even I think this ring is weird,” one user wrote.

“What’s sentimental about it? ” a second one has said. “It’s your bodily fluid.”

“I get jewelry made from kids and family members but jewelry made from your own fluid?” the second user continued. “Like, lemme get my own baby tooth and wear it on my hand… or my nail clippings and put them in something around my neck.”

“It’s…..it’s just milk…I don’t get the hype,” a third commenter added. “Might as well make a ring out of mashed potatoes since we’re honoring sustenance? Cheers on the baby tho.”

The idea of breastmilk jewelry went viral following an article in NBC New York back in 2013 where they spoke about Etsy sellers who offer the peculiar rings, pendants, lockets, and beads and it’s become infamous since then.

“No matter the process used for preservation there seems to be a long and tedious process involved in creating the keepsakes, leading to long waits for order fulfillment,” TIME Magazine reported.
