When animals have a difficult start to their lives, it is not easy for them to adjust to a new scenario, irrespective of how good your intentions are.
Sean Farell, who lives in Birmingham, dealt with a somewhat similar issue with his newly adopted pup, Buster.
However, the owner did not give up; instead, he opted for a creative approach to win his dog’s trust. And this story is bound to inspire many people who are struggling with adopted pets.
When Buster first came to Sean’s house, he was 9-years old. Initially, he only met to foster it for some time and eventually find a permanent home. But he fell in love with this adorable dog and did not want to lose him.
By the Time, Buster, who is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, has been living in a shelter for a really long time and was looking for a permanent home. So when Sean met him, it seemed like these two fellas were met to find each other.
But when Sean got Buster home, he found that the dog has developed some serious trust issues and was especially doubtful of single men.
When Sean went downstairs, Buster would immediately run upstairs as he was not comfortable being alone with the owner. Even after living with Sean for a few years, Buster still preferred being alone for hours.
The owner desperately wanted to help his dog and decided to search on the internet for the solution. This is where he got the idea to build a small house in his living room for Buster.
Without any carpentry skills, Sean purchased some plywood and began to build the frame of the dog house.
The objective was to create a human-free zone where Buster would feel comfortable and safe so that he can improve his security.
He worked two weeks to finish the Buster Boudoir, and it worked like a charm. This dog house was a little paradise for Buster.
In addition to building a safe place, Sean also decorated it with all the right accessories. There is a cozy bed, mood lights, plants, a cooling fan, and photos of Zook, his previous dog. In fact, the house is even soundproof, so that fireworks do not scare the dog.
